We Have a Plan!  (A 3-Year Plan)

As part of the Kelowna Kiwanis Club’s efforts to continue to meet the needs of those we serve, the Club engages in Strategic Planning to ensure that we are forward looking and continuously improving.  A variety of data sources are utilized to form the development of Strategic Goals, including risk management information, information from our accessibility planning process, information from our outcomes measurement process, information from those we serve, financial information and any other information that The Club deems relevant.  Minutes from a series of meetings held with the Board and Members capture the process of goal development, including the analysis of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges. The process results in the development of long term goals that can be acted on.

See Kiwanic International Plan.

GOAL :   Constantly enhance member experience through meeting content, fellowship and service

Actively Pursue Improvements to Meeting Content, Fellowship & Service Opportunities to Enhance the Enjoyment and Experience of all members

It is imperative that the Club can offer quality and excellence of service in order to attract new members.  People are protective of their spare time and we want to ensure them that they will not be wasting their time and money by joining our organization .

GOAL:  Broaden outreach of activities, programs & services focusing on children & youth

The Kiwanis International defining statement, adopted October 2004 is "Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world, one child and one community at a time."

GOAL:  Promote our Kiwanis Club  awareness & recognition through public relations, networking & partnerships

A potential barrier to future growth and expansion is the level of recognition or awareness of the role of KIWANIS in the community.   An increased awareness of the KIWANIS status and role could enhance membership growth.
